The Lung Foundation of Malaysia (LFM) is a non-profit Foundation established in November 2005 to gather funds to contribute towards the improvement of standard of care and treatment of patients with lung diseases.Chronic lung diseases such as broncho-pulmonary dysplasia in children, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in adults and asthma in both children and adults are among lung diseases that commonly inflict people and lead to prolonged suffering and disability. Care for these people can also be difficult and expensive especially if it involves the usage of life support devices.
In LFM, we offer support for patients afflicted with lung diseases so that they can lead a better quality of life with minimal suffering. We also seek to achieve paradigm shift by increasing the awareness and knowledge among the public on lung diseases and fund scientific researches related to improvement of treatment of the diseases.
